Uganda’s sustainable growth over the past few years has generated a sophisticated class of consumers. These consumers require specialized services that bring convenience to their day to day lives. The financial services sector is one of the areas that have blossomed with financial inclusion growing steadily.

According to Bank of Uganda Deputy Governor Louis Kasekende, the onset of Mobile Money has revolutionized the way Ugandans transact business. Since 2009, Mobile Money accounts have increased from a meagre 10,000 to the current 18 million. This he says is phenomenal given Uganda only has 6 million operational bank accounts.
