“This is to let you know that for personal reasons I have asked the Board for an early retirement and this has been accepted. However, the Board has asked me to manage the transition for the next 90 days which I have agreed to do,” he wrote.

“I am proud of the success we achieved and the impact we have had in society. This was possible because we worked together as a team. No single person could have done it on their own, certainly not me. I have always said to you that everyone in their lives should have the privilege of working with people like you. I had a great time doing just that and for me, it was an absolute honor and pleasure to have done so,” he added.

Kabushenga’s exit has been rumoured to be on the cards with several rumours doing rounds that he would be leaving any time soon.

Kabushenga was not available for immediate comment, but in a tweet to his friends, said he had quit to join growing coffee full time.
