As the Muslim community marks the end of their fasting period, Vodafone Uganda has handed over an assortment of food items to several mosques in Kampala. Worth Ushs 20 million, the donations were received by Muslim leaders at Wandegeya, Kibuli, Nakasero and Old Kampala Mosques.

While handing over the items, Vodafone Uganda CEO Allan Richardson said the company gave food items to show solidarity with Muslims in the month of Ramadhan.

“We believe Ramadhan is a time to celebrate spirituality and on behalf of Vodafone I would like to congratulate each of you for successfully making it to the end of this period. This donation is part of our corporate philanthropy program through which we acknowledge communities that continue to support us to attain growth in this market.
