The Board of Directors, Uganda Telecom has appointed Mark Shoebridge as the New Acting Managing Director. Shoebridge will assume the new role effective 21st May 2015, taking over from Ali Amir who resigned in March 2015.
In a Press Release seen by this magazine, the telecom’s Board Chairman Stephen Kaboyo said, “We are delighted to welcome Mark Shoebridge as the Acting Managing Director of Uganda Telecom and we thank Ali Amir for his service. Mark’s achievements while working as the Chief Fixed Services Officer are commendable. We are confident that his experience and expertise will be very valuable to Uganda
Telecom and I look forward to working very closely with him to continue Uganda Telecom’s turnaround. The board is confident that he will bring the renewed leadership necessary to instigate required changes to take Uganda Telecom to the highest standards of quality.
