Lahmuel Mukundenta, the incoming Chief Executive of TravelNeza, a Ugandan leisure holidays company

TravelNeza, a Ugandan leisure holidays company has promoted Lahmuel Mukundenta to become its next Chief Executive Officer.

He previously has been the company’s NezaClub Executive. NezaClub is the company’s group travel solution. The club brings together people looking to form groups heading to a particular destination, who need to put together numbers for this and enjoy economies of scale.

In a statement to CEO East Africa Magazine, Laura Kagame, the Founder and outgoing CEO of TravelNeza said: “Lahmuel Mukundenta brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. Since 2020, he has successfully coordinated trips and travelled with clients to various destinations around the world, including Dubai, Cape Town, Paris, Barcelona, Zanzibar, Brussels, the Netherlands, Spain, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Burundi, and Turkey”.

“Known for his exceptional communication skills and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, Mr. Mukundenta is poised to lead TravelNeza to new heights. His hands-on experience in the travel industry, coupled with his passion for creating unforgettable travel experiences, makes him the ideal candidate to drive the company’s growth and success,” Laura Kagame added.

Laura Kagame, TravelNeza’s Founder & outgoing CEO will maintain an “eyes-on and hands-off” on the company, and will moving forward, focus more on the hotels side of the business.

The role involves Delivering exceptional customer experience, fostering strong relationships with clients and partners and expanding the company’s presence in the global travel market.

“Lahm is an on-the-job self-taught travel executive. His self-drive, proactiveness and resilience helped us navigate through the pandemic and have buttressed our stabilisation. His visionary leadership and customer-centric approach will undoubtedly propel TravelNeza to new levels of success under his guidance,” Laura Kagame, reiterated.

Lahmuel is a Mass Communication/Media Studies graduate from Kampala International University. 

Laura, who says she will maintain an “eyes-on and hands-off” on the company is stepping aside to run the hotels side of the business.

Some of the hotels in the portfolio include Acacia Hotel Mbarara and the latest kid on the block, Acacia Lodge, Mweya.
