Uganda Airlines has suspended its flights to Democratic Republic of Congo capital city, Kinshasa, after violent riots and attacks on several foreign embassies today. The Airline said in a statement that the suspension has become necessary as a result of the ongoing unrest in the DRC, including the capital Kinshasa. Before the suspension, the Airline’s Bombadier CRJ-900 had a frequency of four flights per week between Tuesday and Saturday. “Flights will remain suspended until the situation warrants normal operations,” the statement said. The Uganda Electricity Transmission Company (UETCL) has been ranked as the most profitable public company with a profit of UGX 82.3 billion earned through energy sales in the Financial Year (FY) ending June, 2024.
