But who are they?

JOSEPH NDIHO KIIZA

Board Chairman & Cofounder

Joseph is a Ugandan national. He holds two master’s degrees- an MBA-Finance and a Master of Arts in Economic Policy and Planning both from Makerere University. He is one of the co-founding shareholders of Service Cops. He is a skilled business leader and entrepreneur with interests in leasing, insurance, hospitality, and agriculture.

Other than the 10 years spent at Service Cops, Joseph has an additional 8 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry having worked previously for some of Uganda’s top banks; Stanbic, dfcu Bank and the East African Development Bank.

He leads the business strategy of Service Cops and is in charge of driving growth in the stiffly competitive Financial Technology and Business Outsourcing market.

DAVID MUSHABE

Board Director & Cofounder

David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Makerere University. He is a serial entrepreneur with interests in technology, finance, technology and entertainment. He is also one of the co-founding directors and shareholders in Service Cops.

David is currently Managing Director of SMS One (U) Limited one of the leading indigenous technology trailblazers that specializes in software development, innovation and Value-Added Services in the telecom sector. SMS One has a presence in Kenya and Rwanda. He is a director in several other entities in the technology, investments, entertainment and edutech space.

Although he is not actively involved in the day-to-day running of Service Cops, he gives on-demand guidance on the technical front.

MATHIAS KAMUGASHO

Managing Director & Cofounder

Mathias is the founding Managing Director and shareholder, who still leads the business to date. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Makerere University.  

For the last eleven years, he has been at the helm of Service Cops growth trajectory and overseeing the business’ growth to Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Zambia. He has a wide experience in Banking and Finance having worked for over 7 years in the banking sector before joining Service Cops. 

Mathias also has several other interests in financial services, insurance, technology, investment and agriculture- at various levels.

Mathias is a Rotarian and a motorcycling enthusiast that loves adventure. He is also a member of the Uganda Bikers Association.

ARTHUR RUTAROH

Board Director & Cofounder

Arthur Rutaroh holds a Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies, from Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi.

He is an expert in knowledge management and communication with significant hands-on experience in communication and media as well as knowledge management.

Arthur wields an experience of over 15 years that includes (3) years in designing knowledge Management e-health and data management solutions in health care delivery, four (4) years as Program Manager for Research, Information Advocacy and Knowledge Management at East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC). He has an additional four (4) years serving as Program Officer, Health Economics Capacity Building Program at Uganda’s Ministry of Health. For three (3) years he was a visiting lecturer at Mbarara University of Science and Technology.

He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA), where he has mobilized and coordinated various stakeholder technical working groups, networks and associations and has been involved in multiple international research programs.
