New MOGAS leadership: Mercy Nasejje (R) is new Managing Director for Uganda while Ronald Rugadya (L) will head the Tanzania unit

MOGAS Uganda Limited (MUL) has appointed Mercy Nasejje, previously the company’s Safety and Standards Manager as its new Managing Director.

The appointment, according to an internal notice, by the MOGAS Group HR And Admin Supervisor Ndagire Mariam Walie, is effective 8th August 2022.

“Mercy is succeeding Ronald Rugadya, who has taken on other responsibilities within the Group.

Mercy Nasejje will be reporting to the MOGAS Group CEO,” reads the internal memo.

Ronald Rugadya was on 22nd July 2022 appointed the Managing Director of MOGAS Tanzania Limited, effective 22nd August 2022. He succeeds Michael Nduhuukire who is to take on other responsibilities within the Group and will report to the Group CEO, Geoffrey Rugazoora.

Ronald who previously headed all MOGAS’ key operations, first Rwanda, then Kenya and Uganda, moves not to head Tanzanian operations, which have MOGAS’ largest lubricants blending plant and a vessel terminal.

Mercy has over 10 years of experience in the establishment, implementation and management of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Management Systems and Standards for multinational organizations.

While at MOGAS, she spearheaded the building of a safety culture in all the 7 countries in which MOGAS operates i.e., Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, and Congo.  Before MOGAS, she worked as a Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Coordinator at Coca-Cola.
