Patricia Kadama Anguzu has been appointed Regional People Lead (East African Hub) at Wave mobile Money with effect from April 26, 2022.
Wave mobile Money is a financial institution on a mission to make Africa the first cashless continent. It is intended to solve challenges of lack of access to affordable ways to save, transfer or borrow the money needed to build businesses or provide for families by using technology to build a radically inclusive and extremely affordable financial network.
Patricia has since 2007 worked with Nile Breweries Limited – NBL in several capacities including; Country People Lead, Human Resource Operations Manager, Market Analyst, PA Sales and Distribution Director, and Marketing Assistant.
She is a highly motivated human resources generalist with over 7 years of experience in the people space, with a wealth of Knowledge in people management, talent attraction, development and retention, HR strategic planning and resource management, organizational development and change management.
Over the years, Patricia has acquired the essential interpersonal, negotiation and mediation skills enhancing the ability to interpret and implement HR practices.
At Wave, she will manage, provide high-quality leadership and oversight on delivering Wave’s People strategy, lead the implementation of Wave’s People’s policies and strategic initiatives to ensure talent retain and promote highly skilled and motivated staff in your countries/hub and also work collaboratively with a diverse and committed group of in-country people managers and encourage an organizational culture that supports effective behavior and ways of working that demonstrate a clear commitment to Wave values, mission, and vision.
Patricia is a well-educated lady with AVADO online learning from Chartered Institute of Personal Development – UK (CIPD – UK), Executive Master’s in Business Administration: (Human Resource Management) from Uganda Technology and Management University, Kampala and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Uganda Management Institution, Kampala.
She also holds a Bachelor’s of Arts (Social Sciences) from Makerere University and a Certificate – Voluntary Counselling and Testing from Family Planning Association Uganda, Kampala.
At NBL, she will be remembered for leading the change of control from the Nile Breweries Limited (SABMILER) to Nile Breweries Limited (ABI Inbev, tracking record of improving company engagement scores year on year since 2019 to date (72% in 2019 – 90% in 2021) and also improving diversity and inclusion matrix from 62% to 86% in 2021, among many more achievements.
