Effective yesterday, Rwanda’s national carrier RwandAir has suspended flights to Entebbe International Airport because of a surge in COVID-19 cases in Uganda. In a notice to customers, the airline says: “Due to a surge in Covid-19 cases in Uganda, RwandAir announces the suspension of its flights to Entebbe effective 10 June 2021, until further notice,” adding “RwandAir sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused.” The airline however gave its customers options saying: “Affected customers can rebook and fly at a later date, once flights resume, at no additional cost-or request a refund.” The suspension of RwandAir flights comes after the United…
