Several commercial airlines have declared their intention to resume flights as governments gradually re-open airports to as they relax regulations to stem the spread of Coronavirus.

Emirates will be the earliest to commence international travel to Nairobi, Dubai and onward starting as soon as tomorrow on Tuesday, 28th July, 2020.

In a statement, the airlines says: “We are pleased to inform you that Emirates will be operating a repatriation flight on Tuesday, 28th July 2020, and in addition purchase can be made for onward destinations as long as passengers are compliant with the respective country’s regulations.”

Emirates has also stated that the departure time for tomorrow’s flight is 16:15 hours and will be destined for Nairobi – Dubai and beyond; the airline is already conducting bookings for flights.

On the other hand, KLM will begin 4 weekly flights, operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

“We are pleased to inform you that KLM will be resuming international travel into and out of Nairobi on the 3rd of August 2020,” says KLM.

Air France will also commence its flight schedule next month; the French airline has set its flight resumption date as 6th of August 2020.

“We are pleased to inform you that Air France will resume operations in Kenya on the 6th of August 2020,” read an excerpt from a recent communication from the French airline.

Air France has clarified that the airline will begin with one flight to Paris every Friday.

British Airways will also soon resume operations after having set its flight schedule that will comprise of 4 weekly flights; on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

“We are pleased to inform you that British Airways will be resuming international travel into and out of Nairobi on the 1st of August 2020.”

The Arabian carrier, Qatar Airways will be back in flight by 3rd August 2020 and has advised all passengers to check the information published by the Government of their destination country before travelling.

“We are pleased to inform you that Qatar Airways will resume operations from Nairobi on the 3rd of August 2020 with 14 weekly flights, subject to regulatory approval,” says Qatar Airways.
