COVID-19 ECONOMIC EFFECTS ON UGANDA: An open letter to president Museveni from businessman, Amos Nzeyi In this open letter to President Museveni, Ugandan businessman, entrepreneur, industrialist and Executive Chairman for Crown Beverages Ltd proposes some key interventions that government should undertake to mitigate COVID-19 related short-term and medium consequences. Top on the agenda is government settlement of the over UGX3.3 trillion domestic arrears, so as to allow businesses on the brink of collapse to settle their creditors as well as stimulate domestic demand and subsequently domestic tax revenue generation.
