President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Ms Lynda Biribonwa, a health,  environment, and safety specialist as the new chairperson, and six others as members of the Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) Board.  The appointment follows their successful vetting and approval by the Parliamentary Appointment Committee, led by the Speaker of Parliament in June 2024.  Ms Biribonwa succeeds Ms Jane N.
