Dr Vincent Ogutu

Strathmore University

Dr Vincent Ogutu is the Vice-Chancellor Designate of Strathmore University. He self-identifies as a teacher and is a Lecturer in Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Social Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. He is passionate about inspiring students at all levels to realize their potential for personal growth and social impact. He has given a TEDx talk at IESE Business School, Barcelona urging people to commit to the cause that “has their name written on it.” He also uses television and social media as a platform to challenge people in the areas of leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity, talent development, and social impact.
Before his Vice-Chancellor Designate role at the University, Dr Vincent was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Planning & Development), where he was charged with oversight of the University’s strategy, fundraising, alumni relations, development projects, and community outreach. He has also been the Vice Dean for Executive Talent Development at Strathmore University Business School and was also the Director of the SBS regional academies in Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania.
Dr Ogutu holds a PhD in Organizational Management from Rutgers University and an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of London and a BA in Economics from the University of Nairobi. He undertook his doctoral studies full time in the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship. His research is on the Psychology of meaningful work and meaningful lives.
Dr George Njenga
Founding Dean
Strathmore University Business School

Dr George Njenga is the Founding Dean of Strathmore University Business School (SBS), a Director of Strathmore Research and Consultancy Company, Chairman of B-Sea Consulting, Founder of Ongoza Youth Organization, Chairman of Origen Group EPZ, and a seasoned leadership and governance senior Lecturer with over 20 years experience.
He holds a PhD (Hons.) in Political Philosophy from the University of Navarra, a Master’s in Governance and Culture of Institutions (MGCI) from the same University, a Master’s in Business Administration from the United States International University (USIU) and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.
He spearheaded the establishment of the Strathmore Institute of Healthcare Management and the Strathmore Institute of Public Policy and Governance at Strathmore University. He was also in the team that set up a successful School of Finance and Banking in Kigali, Rwanda.
Dr George is an Executive Board member of the Global Business Schools Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the management, entrepreneurial, and leadership talent for the developing world, and a seasoned Management Consultant.
Dr Angela Ndunge
Acting Executive Dean
Strathmore University Business School

Dr Angela is the Acting Executive Dean at Strathmore University Business School and doubles as the Academic Director of the Senior Management Leadership Programme (SMLP) and the Advanced Management Programme.
Her areas of specialization are leadership, emotional intelligence, cultural intelligence, managing people and social influence at work, occupational health and safety, training in organizations, workplace assessment and testing, occupational research methods, workplace counselling, career development, work-life integration, and work-related mental health.
Dr Angela is a Chartered Organizational Psychologist and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Psychology from the University of Nottingham and an MSc. in Work and Organizational Psychology from the same university.
