Nelly Muindi, the new PATH Human Resource director for Africa

Early this week, PATH Africa region announced the appointment and promotion of Nelly Muindi as their Human Resource Director. Based in Kenya, Nelly will oversee all HR functions and strategy in the region, in support of PATH’s priorities.

With over 10 years of experience in HR, she previously worked as the company’s HR Business Partner for Eastern Africa since 2019 when she joined.

In her new role, Nelly will work with the HR leads in Africa to ensure alignment on talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, global mobility, compliance, learning, development, and organizational design.

She will also be responsible for creating a culture of open and honest communication and building a shared understanding of and commitment to making PATH more diverse, equitable, and inclusive in the region.

The appointment makes her a member of Africa region management team and will collaborate on the region’s structure, talent development, employee relations, and labour law compliance. Nelly will also be a member of the global HR leadership team at PATH.

“In addition to her strengths in putting in place effective systems, Nelly has a deep commitment to employee experience and organizational culture, coupled with fostering staff engagement in DEI, as well as establishing a health, safety, and wellness framework and culture; and increased employee development efforts,” said Meïssa Diaw, PATH’s Chief People and Diversity Officer.

In her most recent role outside of PATH, Nelly was HR Manager for LWF World Service, Kenya, Djibouti, Somalia, where she successfully implemented an HR management system and developed a robust talent pipeline.

Nelly is an experienced leader, skilled in talent management, strategic planning and employee experience. She is a strong human resources professional as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), passionate and focused on Coaching for engagement and a high performance culture.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from Strathmore Business School (SBS).
