Africell is currently the third biggest telecom in Uganda with a market share of about 4 per cent, that is around 1 million subscribers altogether.

Since its acquisition of Orange Uganda in May 2014, Africell telecom has been on a drive to map out its market in the internet sub sector but also capture more voice customers.
Just last year, this Lebanese owned company was on a high market drive involving well though internet propositions, voice bundles and country wide trade activations speared headed by its brand ambassadors from the entertainment industry such as David Lutalo, Sheebah Karungi, Bebe Cool and Ziza Bafana.
Talking data, Africell was through out 2017 and January 2018 having an upper hand among the youth thanks to its hugely successful Don’t Be Cheated proposition coupled with its watch and see approach.

For whatever product those two bring on the market, it comes up with a better version of the same.
