Aggrey Ashaba is a shareholder and General Manager at Alliad (formerly GCC Services Uganda), a company providing construction, life support, and facilities maintenance among other services to oil and gas players since 2011. The company also has a presence in the power and infrastructure space.
The company has been operating in Uganda since 2010 largely offering services in critical energy projects with significant local engagement which includes training and upskilling of the local workforce, as well as support and development of local vendors and suppliers, including farmers.
He was recently elected the Chairman of the Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum (UCMP) after serving his full term as its General Secretary. He also serves as a board member of the Private Sector Foundation Uganda representing the Energy and Extractives sector.
A member of the Presidential Round Tables on both Mining and Oil and Gas, he also sits on a number of other regional and continental private sector bodies in the same space.
He is a thought leader and a regular panellist at several oil and gas summits in Uganda and abroad.
