Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) announced last week that for the financial year 2022/2023 it had collected UGX 25,209.05 billion⏤an extra UGX 57.48 billion against a target of UGX 25,151.57 billion, reflecting a performance of 100.23%. Despite the fact that the global economy is undergoing a sharper-than-expected slowdown amidst lingering fears of a recession, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) reported that net revenue collections for the nine months of the FY 2022/23 reached UGX 17.53 trillion against a target of UGX 25.15 trillion.
