Absa Uganda, formerly known as Barclays Bank Uganda, completed the name changeover on November 11th 2019, marking the start of a new era for the bank’s operations. As of today, all of Absa Group Limited’s Barclays-branded subsidiaries in seven African countries - Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Seychelles, Tanzania and Zambia have been renamed as ‘Absa’ completing the name change across the continent.
