Naiya Ruparelia, the director of Kaya’s Kitchen and Ark Organics have launched the first pet food brand, exclusively manufactured in Uganda
Kaya’s Kitchen a one-of-a-kind organic, specialty pet food manufacturing company that will have their official launch at the new Ark store. Kaya’s Kitchen will provide pet parents with a broad range of competitively priced organic, natural pet food and a comprehensive line of pet products. At the store, you can get useful pet products like dog and cat treats, puppy and kitten treats, dog food, organic grooming products, pet toys and accessories.
On the other hand, Ark Organics, a new sustainable-lifestyle store, offers a variety of alternatives whether it is organic food, natural skincare, eco-conscious household goods, biodegradable homeware and zero-waste products to spread the walk of sustainability.
The stores latest location at Plot 4 Lower Kololo Terrace will provide four-times more space, plenty of parking, and new amenities. Displaying, promoting and connecting local vendors nationally, by sensitizing markets that are not already aware of the benefits of organic produce and products available locally and championing the “Buy Uganda, Build Uganda mantra.
Every section has expanded, with a focus on quality fresh produce featuring Xara Ranch; a free range, pasture raised and grass-fed artisanal butchery and Linove; an Italian delicatessen bakery and cheese shop that will elevate the Ark brand.

The expansion fulfills a major goal of the stores five-year strategic plan, which aims to create a welcoming community store and thriving local economy. The new location also features a recycling station, which carries on the brand’s tradition of lessening our carbon footprint. All of the plastic and glass waste are used in our social impact projects such as building toilets in slum areas using eco bricks.
The grand opening celebration will feature the latest Ark Urban Spice & Herbs Farm, Vertical Gardens and a teaser sample menu from Revive Bistro the latest farm-to-table restaurant by Ark Organics. The event will create a platform for the Ark vendors to display stalls and promote their products with free samples of their wares to positively affect the local community and empower previously disenfranchised groups in our society.
