INSURTECH: Insurers launch mobile money-based motor third party insurance platform

Uganda’s Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), working with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), the Ministry of Works and Transport and the Uganda Insurers Association have launched a mobile payment platform that enables the payment of and streamlines the operations of Motor Third Party (MTP) Insurance in the country.
Effective 1st July 2020, the payment of Motor Third Party insurance will be
