As Strathmore University Business School evolves into one of Africa’s leading business schools, it has added layers to subjects like economics, finance and management, in effect, developing a ‘finishing school’ aspect to these various disciplines.
Very Few Programmes offered by many business schools are as direct as audience-specific, and end-goal oriented as the Global CEO Africa Programme.
The Global CEO Programme targets already existing business leaders within the African, corporate sphere, while harnessing the resultant synergies towards creating leadership solutions that seek to transform their individual organisations. This category of leaders includes top-tier business leaders like board members, C-Suite executives, presidents and chief decision makers of companies with interests or a presence in Africa.
The Global CEO Africa Programme includes three residential modules in Kenya at Strathmore University Business School, at Lagos Business School, Nigeria, and in the United States at the Yale School of Management, Connecticut. This means the Programme offers a global, and cosmopolitan perspective, with input from a developing economy, one of the largest economies on the continent and the largest economy in the world.
The Global CEO Africa Programme emphasizes developing solutions for effective leadership and examines the roles, skills, and competencies that are aligned with this aspect of management. All this is done against a backdrop that highlights the importance of collaborative leadership as a requirement for effective leadership.
Because the Programme is designed exclusively for executive leaders, participants can network at the highest level and learn from top-level peers with diverse, business and cultural backgrounds.
Programme Structure and Delivery
The teaching methodology utilises the case method, interactive lectures, workshops, group discussions, study groups and CEO panels that ensure the Programme offers a practical, current and relevant knowledge process.
This is backed up by individualised coaching sessions from seasoned experts customised to both the individual leadership journeys of the participants and the strategic growth of their respective organisations.

These input resources can also be utilised by the participants to construct a strategic growth plan for their organisations.
The Global CEO Africa Programme has three modules:

Module II: Understanding the West African Perspective and Building your Expansion Strategy
Module III: Global Positioning, Strategic Formulation and African Leadership Solutions
