Ruparelia Group has donated 5,000 Christmas Hampers various orphanages and child care centres

Christmas is usually a time for making merry and celebrations, but not everyone can quite afford the celebration, especially the children in orphanages and childcare centres.

To take the joy of Christmas to these advantaged children, the Ruparelia Group, through its charity arm, the Ruparelia Foundation annually arranges Christmas parties for disadvantaged children all over Uganda.

However, this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Group decided to donate 5,000 Christmas hampers to various orphanages- that among others, include Eseza Foundation, Islamic Foundation and Angel Center.

The Items were handed over by Jerely Fernandez on behalf of Ruparelia Foundation.

The Ruparelia Foundation was founded in 2012 by Dr.  & Mrs Sudhir Ruparelia and runs its programmes under the theme: “Enriching Lives Together”.

Other trustees are Sheena Ruparelia, Meera Ruparelia, Naiya Ruparelia and Rajiv Ruparelia. It funds startups, education, environment preservation, health, general welfare, religious charity, research, sports, wildlife and animal conservation.

For the past seven years the Foundation has worked together with several stakeholders to champion positive change in different communities across the country to improve livelihoods in Uganda.

To date, more than 600 charitable causes have been funded by the charity.
