Q&A: After an impactful 4 years at Stanbic Business Incubator; Tony Otoa makes a timely return to mainstream oil and gas at UNOC Tony Otoa has been the Chief Executive at Stanbic Business Incubator Ltd since June 2020. The incubator is a subsidiary of Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited (SUHL) whose purpose is to develop strong and resilient SMEs and business leaders through custom-tailored programs for business growth. It offers business development training, and mentors and facilitates Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises from a point of mere existence until they become thriving and sustainable enterprises.

Otoa is now leaving Stanbic Business Incubator Ltd to take up a new Chief Corporate Affairs Officer role at the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC)⏤ a wholly government of Uganda-owned company that runs the government’s commercial interests in the upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas sectors. He joins UNOC just in time- as the country ramps up activities towards first oil, but also amidst a thickening anti-fossils energy transition agenda, itself oiled by climate change.
