Q&A: Rocket Health Africa COO, Bwanika and CFO, Nuwamanya, speak about a shared purpose on better healthcare for all that brought the founders together and binds them to date  10 years ago, Fiona Nuwamanya (FN), the current Chief Finance Officer at Rocket Health Africa and John Mark Bwanika (FMB), Director of Operations (COO) and Head of Projects and Research teamed up with friends and colleagues, Dr. Davis Musinguzi, the current CEO; Hope Fortunate Achiro (Chief Pharmacy Officer) and Dr. William Lubega (Chief Medical Officer) to found Rocket Health Africa. Back then, they were armed with a common vision to tap into the opportunities presented by technology to take better healthcare to communities and families and when times became tough, often relied on faith in each other to weather the storm. Ten years later, their vision still glues them together as much as their faith in each other, but this time, they have also attracted the faith of other investors, such as Creadev who recently led a round of investment to raise USD5 million to fund the next level of growth. Fiona and John in this interview, tell CEO East Africa Magazine about their experience in starting what is growing to be one of Africa’s most recognised successful cases of telemedicine- but more importantly on their plan to take decent and timely healthcare to people who need it- both at the patient level but also at the healthcare logistics chain level.
