Consolate Nakyagaba Kiyingi is the Manager Risk Management, heading the Risk Management Department at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA). She joined the city Authority in August 2013. She is an accomplished and passionate Risk Management Professional with over 15 years’ experience that spans multiple sectors, both public and private (banking). She has experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity and Resilience as well as Internal Audit.
At KCCA, Consolate has championed the establishment of the Risk management Department, led the development and currently the implementation of the Risk Management Framework and policies, resilience strategies for city disaster risk and climate change, emergency preparedness and response, as well as institutional business continuity planning and management. She has also overseen the integration of risk into the city strategic planning process and work plans. Previously she worked in the banking sector at Diamond Trust Bank and Centenary Bank Uganda Limited.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Heriot Watt University- UK; a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants – UK, Member of Business Continuity Institute – UK, a Certified Enterprise Risk Management – USA and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Economics from Makerere University, Kampala- Uganda. She has attained training in disaster risk management as well as sustainability reporting.
She is steering committee member of the International Global Risk Assessment Framework, coordinated by United Nations.
