The National Secondary Schools’ Music, Dance and Drama (MDD) Festival has always been more than just a competition—it is a celebration of culture, creativity, and innovation.
Each year, it brings together schools, learners, and communities in a vibrant display of talent and unity.

This year’s festival finale, to be held at King’s College, Buddo, continues the tradition of blending artistic expression with national values under five powerful themes.
Among these, SchoolPay: Transforming Education Services Through Technology” stands out as a symbol of the digital revolution shaping Uganda’s education sector.

Why SchoolPay?

For years, SchoolPay has worked with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) to ensure that technology not only supports learning but also strengthens the efficiency of school operations.
Through its platform, parents can conveniently pay school fees anytime and from anywhere, eliminating the challenges of long queues and delayed payments.

Schools, in turn, benefit from a robust management system that streamlines records, finances, and administration, redefining what it means to run a modern school in Uganda.

The Ministry of Education and Sports recognises SchoolPay as a key enabler in its mission to achieve digital transformation.
By fostering transparency, accountability, and accessibility in financial transactions, SchoolPay helps build trust among parents, schools, and the government.

This trust is the foundation upon which Uganda continues to pursue its vision of developing holistic, hands-on learners equipped to thrive in a digital era.
At the 2025 Secondary Schools’ MDD Festival, the inclusion of SchoolPay as one of the central themes highlights the growing recognition of technology’s role in nurturing not only academic excellence but also cultural and creative expression.

It was a serene moment when the choirs stepped on stage during the National Secondary Schools MDD competition.

Just as music and drama demand harmony, discipline, and creativity, technology calls for innovation, adaptability, and forward thinking.
SchoolPay embodies these values in its work with schools across the country, demonstrating that technology and culture can advance in tandem.

As 33 schools gather at King’s College, Buddo, and Trinity College, Nabbingo, from August 19, 2025, for the National Festival, SchoolPay’s presence serves as a timely reminder that education today is more than classrooms and textbooks.

It is about embracing solutions that empower parents, support schools, and inspire learners to explore their full potential.
By supporting MDD, SchoolPay is not just stepping in as a financial partner. It is standing out as a visionary ally, committed to shaping an education system where talent, technology, and culture flourish together.
