Vodafone Uganda has appointed John Weir as its Head of Business to oversee the company’s different lines of operations. He will be instrumental in driving Vodafone’s Business Solutions agenda which is primarily to support businesses in bringing down their operational costs through cutting edge solutions that will enable everything and everyone to be seamlessly connected everywhere.
Weir joins the company with over thirty years telecom experience both as a CEO and Project Manager in various telecom companies in Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. He has extensive knowledge of the fixed, mobile and convergent technologies.
Commenting on his appointment Weir said, “I am very happy to join the Vodafone family at this exciting time in the development of the business. Our agile and dynamic approach to doing business allows us the flexibility to offer businesses in Uganda tailor-made solutions which will help them work more productively, reduce the cost of their ICT needs and help to modernize the way people do business.
