Pearl Tower One, a state-of-the-art Grade-A office development located on Yusuf Lule Road.

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has officially begun relocating several of its high-priority offices from the Nakawa Headquarters to the newly completed Pearl Tower One, a state-of-the-art Grade-A office development located on Yusuf Lule Road, directly opposite the Ministry of Health Headquarters.

This move marks a significant step toward decentralizing URA’s operations and bringing critical taxpayer services closer to Kampala’s central business district in a more modern and accessible environment.

New Location, Elevated Experience

In a public notice shared on its social media platforms, URA announced that it is transferring operations of major departments to the swanky, 19-floor Pearl Tower One, developed by Meera Investments under the Ruparelia Group. The tower, which boasts 24,000 sqm of lettable space and cutting-edge building infrastructure, is part of the broader Pearl Business Park project.

“To serve you better, we are coming closer to you,” reads the notice. “We are moving vital services to Pearl Tower, Yusuf Lule Road opposite Ministry of Health Headquarters, effective Monday 13th October 2025 and Monday 20th October 2025.”

Departments Moving to Pearl Tower One

The relocation is happening in two phases:

Phase 1 (October 10–12, 2025): Operational from October 13, 2025

  • Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) – Now operating on Floors 13 & 14
  • Public Sector & Medium Taxpayers Division (PSO & MTO) – Now on Floors 11 & 12

Phase 2 (October 17–19, 2025): Operational from October 20, 2025

  • Risk and Strategy Department – Moving to Floor 15
  • Petroleum Division – Moving to Floor 13

These departments handle some of URA’s most complex and high-impact revenue streams, including oil and gas taxation, large corporate clients, and public sector accountability. Moving them to a central, accessible, and modern facility underscores URA’s continued focus on improving efficiency and client service.

A Modern Government Presence in a Modern Building

Tower One is designed to world-class standards with:

  • High-speed internet connectivity
  • Energy-efficient systems
  • 360 secure parking spaces (with overflow for 1,000+ vehicles in the business park)
  • 24/7 security and CCTV surveillance
  • Accessibility for both private and public transport users

The building is already becoming a preferred address for top-tier tenants, with URA’s move reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of Kampala’s new commercial center.

URA Contact Information Remains the Same

Clients are encouraged to use URA’s digital channels for inquiries during the transition period. The authority assures taxpayers that service delivery will continue seamlessly.

  • Toll-Free Line: 0800 117 000 | 0800 217 000
  • Website: www.ura.go.ug
  • Email: services@ura.go.ug
  • WhatsApp: +256 772 140000

As the Uganda Revenue Authority strengthens its presence in central Kampala, this strategic relocation not only enhances convenience for clients but also reflects a broader trend of public sector modernization through private-sector-grade infrastructure.
