One of Uganda’s leading award winning women-in-tech developer and entrepreneur Evelyn Namara was recently appointed the project manager and researcher at the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI).

A4AI is a global coalition that works to drive down the cost of internet access in low and middle income countries though policy and regulatory reform.

Evelyn is passionate about creating ICT solutions that impact societies and communities, a challenge she has been unto for more than a decade. In Uganda and beyond, she has done an enormous job in empowering women in ICT.

Prior to this appointment she was working with the INTERNET SOCIETY where she managed the special interest groups and community engagement.

Namara is the founder of Vouch Digital, a company that helps organisations to develop digital solutions in the supply chain sector.

She holds a Bachelors degree in computer science from Makerere University and a Diploma in Sustainable Business And Responsible Leadership from The Swedish Institute.
