Moses Kitaka is a Technical Director and Shareholder at Epsilon Uganda Limited, a Ugandan waste management firm. In 2017, the firm partnered with Danish giants Desmi to provide oil-spill response services to Uganda’s nascent oil sector.
The partnership also aimed to provide Epsilon with modern equipment for environmental clean-ups in case of oil spills as well as specialised training to oil sector players.
Desmi has 40 years of experience in the production of oil-spill waste management equipment while Epsilon is licensed by the National Environment Management Authority to transport, store and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Kitaka has been a key panellist and speaker at major oil engagements in Uganda, calling for hard work, improvement and structuring financing needs that are fit for the demands of the sector.
