Fondly known as ‘Dan’, Nandanan Kannan Pulakkal runs Future Options, a human resource consulting firm that has worked in sourcing for top talent to serve human resource needs in the oil and gas sector.
He oversees the headhunting and executive recruitment on the people’s side of the business and has led critical strategic planning ranging from organisational capacity assessment, organisational design, job analysis and evaluation, salary and benefits surveys, employee engagement and 360-degree feedback surveys.
He also runs IndoAfricHR which is focused on meeting Africa’s growing demand for talented professionals.
Dr. Nandanan’s human resource firm has worked with Total Energies to restore, transition and improve the lives of Project-Affected People in oil-host communities. He played a role in providing Business Management and Financial Capacity Services (BMT), Vocational Training (VT), Vulnerable Group Support (VGS), Employment Linkages and Monitoring and Evaluation services to 104 PAPs in Buliisa district.
Under the Business Management Training, a total of 114 project-affected persons benefited from the programme between September 2019 and August 2021.
Based on the needs assessments, the shortlisted Project Affected Persons were offered the option for eight Vocational Training courses: Tailoring, Catering, Automotive Mechanics, Motorcycle Mechanics, Driving skills, Hair Dressing, Plumbing, and Welding.
He previously served in other major roles from the late 1980s to mid-2000 on the Asian continent such as being an Assistant Manager at the State Bank of India and General Manager at Stanhope Finance Company.
He has several academic accomplishments to his name including a Master’s in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, and a Doctor of Business Administration from the Swiss School of Business and Management among other qualifications.
