Emmanuel Bajungu, a Ugandan finance professional based in London, United Kingdom (UK), has started a new role as Senior Manager at PwC UK.
He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the UK in December 2017, in Leeds. Starting out as a Senior Auditor from Dec 2017-Jun 2019 at PWC UK after one year and seven months of exceptional work, he was elevated to a higher corporate rank by PwC UK.
By July 2019, Bajungu had started a new role as an Audit Manager at PwC UK and had to relocate to London, England though still within the United Kingdom for the next three years of his rising career, this lasted until recently in the month gone by of June 2022.
As of 1st July 2022, this Friday Bajungu has begun the month and second half of this year in a fresh position of Senior Manager – still at PwC UK.
His combined years abroad at PwC UK so far amount to 4 years and 8 months in total – just 4 months shy to hit the 5-year milestone at this prestigious foreign based global audit firm with a great worldwide reputation.
This foreign-based Ugandan professional began his career in Kampala, in June 2012 at KREG Associates as a Tax Audit Intern until September 2013.
Ugandan enterprises urged to explore regional oil and gas opportunitiesIn May 2013, he became a Tax Auditor at KREG Associates after his internship at the Kampala-based audit firm. He performed this role for 6 months until October of 2013.
A month later, he moved on to KPMG in a more senior position with a new job title of Senior Auditor – this he did for slightly over 4 years till November 2017.
Mr. Bajungu holds a First Class Hons Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University (2010-2014), dsuring his student life at Makerere he became President of the School of Statistics and Applied Economics from 2012 until 2013. Having attained a First Class he went on to pursue a Masters’ degree in Business Administration – MBA (2019-2020) from Heriot Watt University.
In November 2016, Emmanuel Bajungu was awarded an ACCA certification with Credential ID Second Best Affiliate in Uganda and emerged among the Top 100 Globally.
Bajungu describes himself as “a financial analysis and corporate financial reporting enthusiast with experience in audit and assurance services in various sectors including energy, power and utilities and industrial manufacturing across a wide and diverse range of clients from large listed entities to small and medium-sized enterprises in East Africa, Asia and the United Kingdom.”
Emmanuel is a Certified Chartered Accountant and member of ACCA since 2016 having passed all his exams on first attempt, Mr. Bajungu the 2nd best ACCA Affiliate in Uganda, and best student in Advanced Assurance countrywide.
