The Uganda Digital Society (UDS) is today hosting the 1st Inaugural Digital Marketers Roundtable, a high-level industry conversation that brings together marketing professionals, industry leaders, and innovators to examine the future of marketing in an increasingly digital world.
The roundtable is taking place this evening, April 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bight of Benin in Kampala. Designed as an open and accessible forum, the event is free to attend and aims to create a platform for meaningful, forward-looking dialogue around modern marketing strategies and practices.
At the heart of the discussion is the theme: “Integrating Digital and Traditional Marketing for Maximum Impact.” This theme reflects a growing industry reality where businesses must navigate a rapidly evolving communications landscape, balancing the enduring power of traditional media with the precision and reach of digital platforms.
As brands and organisations compete for audience attention in a crowded marketplace, marketers are increasingly confronted with the challenge of crafting strategies that seamlessly blend both approaches. The roundtable seeks to unpack how businesses and marketing professionals can strategically integrate digital and traditional channels to deliver campaigns that are not only impactful but also ethical and sustainable.
The session features a strong lineup of industry leaders who bring deep experience across marketing, advertising, and digital innovation. Among the key speakers are John Ssenkeezi, President of the Uganda Digital Society, Charity K. Asiimwe, President of the Uganda Marketers Society, and Rommel Jasi, Chairperson of the Uganda Advertising Association.
Through their insights, attendees are expected to gain practical perspectives on how the industry is evolving, what strategies are working, and how organisations can better position themselves in a hybrid marketing environment.
Beyond thought leadership, the roundtable is also structured to be highly interactive. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, ask questions, and exchange ideas with peers across the marketing, media, and technology sectors. The event also offers a valuable networking platform for professionals seeking collaboration, partnerships, and knowledge sharing within Uganda’s growing digital ecosystem.
According to Wycliff Katamba, Events and Partnership Director at Uganda Digital Society, the roundtable is not a one-off event but the beginning of a broader series of industry engagements. These conversations are aimed at strengthening Uganda’s digital ecosystem while promoting responsible, innovative, and effective marketing practices across sectors.
The event has been made possible through collaboration with several partner organisations, including Native Noise, Triverse, Moving Ads, Contivibe, Loud Digital, and Phos Creatives. Their support underscores a shared commitment among industry players to drive conversations that shape the future of marketing in Uganda.
Marketing professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and students with an interest in the future of marketing have been encouraged to participate, with registration facilitated through an RSVP process ahead of the event.
