Uganda Airlines introduces new experience to South Africa with the launch of Entebbe to Johannesburg route

Uganda Airlines, Uganda’s national carrier will introduce daily regular scheduled flights between Entebbe and Johannesburg with effect from 31st May 2021, ushering a great new experience of convenient and affordable travel between Uganda and South Africa and the wider Africa regional network.

“This new route launch offers the best solutions for all travellers, with the only non-stop scheduled service between Entebbe to Johannesburg, reduced journey, more flight frequencies, superior onboard service filled with legendary Ugandan hospitality and the most competitive fares on the market.” states Uganda Airlines in a press release dated 27th May 2021.

The airline will start with four weekly flights to Johannesburg, with days and times carefully selected to match travellers’ convenience and connectivity.

The airline’s scheduled timetable from Entebbe to Johannesburg is as follows; Mondays will be 20:40 to 23:55 hours, Tuesdays JNB-EBB 01:00-06:15, Tuesdays EBB-JNB 20:40-23:55, Wednesdays JNB-EBB 01:00-06:15, Thursdays 11:30-14:45, Thursdays JNB-EBB 16:10-2125, Saturdays EBB-JNB-12:15-15:15 and the final flights on Saturdays will be JNB-EBB 16:15-21:30 every week.

Tickets are now on sale via Uganda Airline’s website and can be purchased online at www.ugandaairlines.com  or from any preferred travel agent and from a wids network of ticketing offices in different cities.

Uganda Airlines is Uganda’s national carrier that operates scheduled flights and air transportation services in Africa and International markets.

The airlines started commercial operations in August 2019 and currently operates a fleet of four (4) regional jets (CRJ900), and two (2) Airbus A330-800 neo.

The airlines current network includes scheduled flights to 10 destinations in 7 countries, including Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya, Dar es salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar in Tanzania, Kinshasa in DR Congo, Bujumbura in Burundi, Juba in South Sudan, Mogadishu in Somalia, and now Johannesburg in South Africa.

With the recent addition of the A330-800 neo, Uganda Airlines will soon commence flights intercontinental operations to Europe, Asia and the Middle East, with schedule flights to Dubai, London, Guangzhou and Mumbai.
