Market activity increased today as share price for Stanbic Uganda increased (+1.7%) closing at UGX 29.50 from UGX 29. Umeme Limited share price also grew by +2.5% closing at UGX 410 from UGX 400.

All other counters remained unchanged and the market closed as follows: NIC (UGX 13.00), BATU (UGX 30,000), DFCU (UGX 682), NVL (UGX 510), BOBU (UGX 110) and UCL (UGX 29).

The All Stock Index (ALSI) decreased closing at 2045.71 (-1.56%) from 2078.04 and the USE LSI increased closing at 389.74 (+0.94) from 389.10 from the previous close.

A total of shares work UGX 2.130bn were traded (previously UGX 99.7m). Umeme shares traded the most (UGX 2.089bn), followed by Bank of Baroda (UGX 38.5m) and Stanbic Bank (UGX 2.6m).
