Uganda’s major economic sectors are set to benefit from the new technology trucks introduced by Tata Uganda, India’s automobile manufacturer. The Tata Prima and Tata Prima LX trucks are equipped with next generation features bringing together a combination of power, performance and fuel efficiency.
According to the company’s Executive Director Shalendra Kundra, the vehicles are best suited for the oil and gas, cement, sugar and construction sectors.
Speaking during the official launch held at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kundra explained the company aims at shaping the commercial vehicle industry in the East African region.
“With this launch, we are reaffirming our commitment to Uganda by giving our customers competitive business advantages. These new trucks are shaped by technology, know-how and expertise with global standards of power, durability, payload and emissions. Their safety will enable customers upgrade to a new-age truck with new age global specifications and systems, a result of customers feedback combined with years of experience in the trucking business,
