Imagine Posta Uganda, formerly Uganda Post Limited, as a traditional service provider—delivering mail, packages, selling stamps, and offering agency banking in remote outposts. It’s not glamorous, but it remains an integral cog in Uganda’s infrastructure. But importance doesn’t always translate to profitability. In the year ended June 2024, Posta earned UGX18.55 billion in operating revenue, mostly from core activities like mail delivery, courier services, and agency functions.
