Uganda is the 10th most vulnerable country to the impacts of climate change and 35th least readying in terms of preparedness for climate change effects, the latest Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative (ND-GAIN 2021) has shown. The ND-GAIN 2021 also indicates that extreme weather events are increasingly frequent and severe across much of the African region, including in Uganda. In its 2019 report, Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative Index, Uganda was the 15th most vulnerable country to climate change.
