Covid-19 pushed the tourism sector on the edge – almost to near collapse – non had ever imagined. It was a global disaster, but one that hurt Uganda’s tourism value chain, perhaps much more than elsewhere. Stretched months of airspace closure and restrictions on movement left the industry on its knees – from which it has taken almost five years to show real signs of recovery.
