Service Cops, a leading Pan-African technology innovation and outsourcing company, has signed a strategic partnership with the Insurance Training College to establish the ITC–Service Cops Innovation Hub.
The hub marks a significant milestone in advancing innovation, digital transformation, and skills development within Uganda’s insurance and broader financial services sector.
The ITC–Service Cops Innovation Hub will serve as a dynamic platform bringing together academia, industry stakeholders, and technology experts to collaboratively develop practical, market-ready technical expertise tailored to the evolving needs of the insurance industry.

The initiative is designed to bridge the long-standing gap between traditional insurance operations and emerging digital technologies by integrating enterprise-level technical skills with industry-specific insurance knowledge.
The programme aims to produce a new generation of professionals equipped to drive the digitisation of the insurance industry in Uganda and across the African continent.
The five-year programme will feature an annual nine-month intensive training experience.
Under the partnership, Service Cops will play a central role in funding the initiative and delivering cutting-edge enterprise technical training in areas such as software development and digital financial solutions.
Insurance Training College (ITC) will provide a market-driven insurance training curriculum specifically designed for individuals with a technology background.
The hub will focus on developing a new generation of innovation-driven professionals equipped with both technical and industry-relevant skills to create market-ready solutions, promote research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among academic institutions, industry players, and technology partners and provide hands-on training, internships, and industry placement opportunities for graduate students.
Joseph Ndiho, the Service Cops Executive Chairman of, said the program reflects “our commitment to advancing insurance technology in Uganda and across Africa.

“As active participants in the digital transformation journey of the insurance industry, we are convinced that increased insurance penetration in Africa and other emerging markets will largely be driven by digitisation. This will enable the delivery of relevant, consumer-centric, and affordable insurance products through the right digital distribution channels,” he said.
