Roselyn Najjuma, brings to Standard Chartered Uganda, a wealth of local and regional experience and expertise in the financial services industry that spans over 15 years.

Roselyn Najjuma Thabit, previously Stanbic Bank Uganda’s Head, Products, overseeing the Lending, Liabilities, Card, Bancassurance and Vehicle and Asset Finance solutions in the Personal and Business Banking division has joined Standard Chartered Bank Uganda.

At Standard Chartered Bank, one of Uganda’s five largest banks, she now heads the transaction banking unit, since March 2020.

She brings on board a wealth of local and regional experience and expertise in the financial services industry that spans over 15 years.

At Stanbic Uganda, she has also previously held the Head Customer Journeys role, tasked with leading Stanbic’s innovation and digitisation agenda in 2018.

Roselyn started her banking career with Barclays Bank Uganda (now Absa Bank Uganda) in 2004 where she served in several capacities including IT projects manager, Head MIS and Analytics for Retail Credit, Product Manager for Lending, and Bancassurance. She also worked as Product Manager for Lending and Islamic Banking in Barclays Kenya.

She serves on the Uganda Bankers Association Digital Financial Services committee as the Secretary General – a workstream aimed at driving the digitisation of payments and collections in Uganda to drive Financial Inclusion.

Roselyn holds an Executive MBA from Warwick Business School (U.K). She also holds a master’s degree in Computer Science (Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics, bother from Makerere University in Uganda.
