Julius Lubega is an experienced professional with over 11 years of diverse experience in the financial services industry. He was appointed Operational Risk Manager at Centenary Bank, in February 2023.
Prior to that, he held several key roles at the bank, including Operational Risk Manager, Senior Internal Auditor and Financial Inclusion Supervisor.
Before working at Centenary Bank, he also worked in several roles at Bank of Africa, including, Compliance Specialist, Treasury Bank Officer, Trade Finance Officer, Relationship Officer, and Customer Service Officer.
He has a strong foundation in risk management, a comprehensive understanding of various bank functions, and a demonstrated expertise in ensuring compliance, managing operational risks, fostering financial inclusion, business mobilisation and relationship management.
He holds an MBA from Uganda Martyrs University, Nkonzi, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, Economics and and a Diploma in Risk Management from Alison in Ireland. Julius has several certifications including Certificate in Tools and Techniques for Lead Auditors in Charge and a Certificate in Banking from the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financials Services (UIBFS).
He is a member of the Pan-African Network for Economic Analysis of Policies, AU-EU Partnership, and a Member of the Young Catholic Professionals.
