Edmond Mwebembezi, previously working with UN Women has joined the Uganda UNICEF office as Communications Officer.
With over a decade of experience in the communications and public relations industry, he is skilled in communication strategy design and execution, with a background in writing, graphic design, video and photography production, media engagement, and social media management.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the Uganda Christian University and training in public health and Emergency Communication from the WHO Emergency Program.
Prior to joining UNICEF, Edmond honed his skills at various organisations, including UN Women where he served as Communications Officer, World Health Organization as Public Information Officer, and People Performance Group as Communications and Marketing Coordinator.
“I am thrilled to join UNICEF as a Communications Officer,” says Edmond. “Not only does this role offer me the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children in Uganda through effective and impactful communication, but it also allows me to be part of a highly skilled and professional team recognised in the communications field. I couldn’t be more excited about this new career chapter.”
