Under the One-Stop Border Post framework, border agencies of two given countries sharing a common border and involved in clearance of goods and persons operate under one roof, with traffic crossing the border only stopping at one side of the border.

President Yoweri Museveni and his Kenya counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta are on Saturday, February 24 expected to launch the Busia One-Stop Border Post (OSBP) at the Uganda – Kenya border.
OSBP is an integrated border system that leads to improved efficiencies through streamlined, coordinated and harmonised procedures under one roof/structure.

The launch of the Busia OSBP comes just 3 months after Museveni and President John Pombe Magufuli of Tanzania launched the Mutukula OSBP on the Uganda – Tanzania Border on November 9th.
Minus the aforementioned, other OSBPs in Uganda are Mirama Hills connecting Uganda to Rwanda, Malaba connecting Uganda to Kenya. TradeMark with support from UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) and partners has injected over $117m OSBPs development across the the region.
