MTN Uganda has announced a new tariff for their customers to call across all networks in Uganda. With the new rate, the telecom’s customers will enjoy a low call rate of Ushs 3 per second. This represents a 45% reduction compared to the previous Ushs 5.5 per second. The new tariff takes effect immediately.
Existing customers have to dial *151*2# to enjoy the new rate while new customers will enjoy this tariff immediately upon activation of their sim cards. The rate has also been reduced from 300/- down to 180/-per minute for Postpaid customers.
According to the Chief Marketing Officer, Ms. Mapula Bodibe, the move is intended to offer customers more value, competitive rates and convenience.
