Some call him a young man born with a silver spoon in his mouth; others may say he has had it easy, having been fathered by a rich dad, because let’s face it; we all know success is a tasteful journey that at the age of 24, many of our biggest entrepreneurs in the country had not yet even foreseen. It however does not really matter how you perceive him because Miraj Barot is a man who understands that he has to do his own growing no matter how tall his father is.

Aged 24, Miraj Barot is probably, the youngest CEO in Uganda holding fort as Managing Director of three companies namely Tirupati Development, Tulip Consultancy and Virat Alloys the latest addition, following the acquisition of the assets of Sembule Steel Mills.
Getting to talk to Miraj, one needs to be patient as it takes a couple of weeks. Matter of fact, I have been trying to catch up with him since earlier this year, but this is not to say he’s media shy or a difficult man to deal with, but “a man who is not independent of his work and therefore would only agree to this interview after full acquisition of the steel mill
