City businessman Andrew Rugasira has announced he intends to vie for President of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for later this year. He is the founder of Good African Coffee (GAC), a Uganda-based social enterprise that adds value to Ugandan coffee for the domestic and export market. GAC was the first African owned coffee brand to be sold directly in UK supermarkets.
Addressing a media round table meeting held on Sunday 18th September at the Kampala Serena Hotel, Rugasira said, “I would like to recognize the many years of service and contribution that the current President Mrs. Olive Kigongo has made at the Chamber. It is my intention to build on that contribution and transform UNCCI to better serve its members and the wider private sector community.
