As the world is getting globalised, there is an imminent need to increase penetration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) services to the rural communities. In line with this KIBO Foundation under the support of American networking corporation Cisco has officially launched a Community Knowledge Centre (CKC) in Entebbe Municipality council. The centre which has been in operation since early 2014 also received 20 computers while over 100 people including youth, teachers and area councillors received their certificates of accomplishment.
According to Abrahm Temu, the manager KIBO Foundation, the centre which is the 6th in Uganda will go a long way in empowering people from all walks of life. “As the world shrinks in size in terms of connectivity, young people need to have access to world class education.
