Ugandan media, advertising and entertainment entrepreneur Julius Kyazze has stepped into a new leadership role as Chief Executive Officer of Live54+, marking a strategic consolidation of businesses he co-founded into a single pan-African creative ecosystem brand.
Writing on LinkedIn, Kyazze described the move as a transition into a new phase of growth and coordination across ventures spanning music, media, events, marketing and creative services.
“Today I’m stepping into a new chapter. I start my role as CEO of LIVE54+,” he said, reflecting on years spent building across the sector. “I have spent years building across music, events, production, creative and media. Along the way, we’ve made wins, made mistakes, learned fast, and kept moving.”
He expressed appreciation to collaborators across the journey, adding: “I’m grateful to every teammate, partner, client, artist, and supporter who has walked this road with us.”
Infrastructure play for creative growth
Kyazze positioned Live54+ not simply as a holding structure, but as a foundational operating system for scaling creative businesses across Africa’s fragmented markets.
“LIVE54+ is an infrastructure for creative and cultural businesses to scale across Africa without breaking,” he wrote. “In our world, infrastructure is not roads and bridges. It’s the stuff that makes growth possible.”
He outlined capabilities the platform has built, including multi-city venue and show operations, cross-border tour planning, media and radio networks, creative and below-the-line agencies, legal and rights support, financial processing across multiple countries, and access to talent pools across disciplines.
“LIVE54+ has built this foundation and we are still expanding it across African states and beyond,” he noted.
Operational headquarters are located in Nairobi, with additional strategic offices intended to enable global collaboration.
“Operationally, our HQ is in Nairobi. And to make global collaboration easier, we have strategic offices in Mauritius and Dubai.”
Partnership platform for creators and founders
Kyazze framed the platform as an enabler for entrepreneurs and creative founders seeking continental expansion.
“If you have a real creative business, a scalable idea, or an event ready to grow, we can collaborate, partner, co-build, and invest where it makes sense,” he wrote.
“You focus on the craft and the vision. We handle the dirty work: market entry, operations, staffing, compliance, commercial execution, and distribution across multiple countries.”
Internally, he also emphasised talent mobility across the ecosystem.
“You never have to leave to grow. Growth is no longer just ‘promotion’. It’s movement,” Kyazze wrote. “Opportunities to move between departments, companies, countries, and even entire industries while staying inside one ecosystem.”
Elevation rather than departure
Kyazze confirmed he will continue supporting businesses he has helped build — including Swangz Avenue, Buzz Group Africa, The Quollective, and NRG Radio Uganda — within the new structure.
“This is not a departure from the work. It’s an elevation of how we do it,” he said.
He concluded by signalling a forward-looking focus for the organisation’s expansion across African creative markets.
“I’m proud of the journey so far. I’m focused on what comes next,” Kyazze wrote. “LIVE54+ is the direction. Now we execute.”

The move reflects a broader trend of consolidation within Africa’s creative economy, where entrepreneurs are increasingly seeking integrated platforms capable of supporting cross-border distribution, monetisation, and talent mobility.
